Crispy Sticky Date Rolls

Crispy Sticky Date Rolls - Nuzest AU

Golden and crisp on the outside with a soft, naturally sweet filling, these Crispy Sticky Date Rolls are simple to make in the air fryer.  Made with Medjool dates, yoghurt, and Nuzest Clean Lean Protein Vanilla, they're perfect served warm with a dollop of Greek yoghurt.

Ingredients:

Rolls

  • 6 rice paper sheets

Filling

  • 1/8 cup sunbutter, runny
  • 2 scoops Nuzest Clean Lean Protein Vanilla
  • 3–4 tbsp yoghurt
  • 4 large Medjool dates, finely chopped

Method:

  1. Add the sunbutter, Clean Lean Protein, yoghurt and chopped dates to a bowl. Mix until a dough-like consistency forms. If the mixture is too dry, add a little extra sunbutter.
  2. Line the air fryer basket with non-stick baking paper.
  3. Fill a shallow plate with water. Dip each rice paper sheet into the water for a few seconds on each side until pliable but not overly soft.
  4. Place two rice paper sheets on top of each other on a clean work surface.
  5. Shape one-third of the filling into a cylinder and place near the top of the rice paper. Roll firmly to enclose the filling.
  6. Repeat with the remaining rice paper and filling.
  7. Air fry at 240°C for 6 minutes on each side (12 minutes total), turning halfway through cooking.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

To Serve

Serve warm with Greek yoghurt, if desired.

Notes

  • Best enjoyed fresh for maximum crispiness.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator if needed. The texture will become softer and chewier once chilled.
  • If the filling mixture feels too dry, add a little extra sunbutter to achieve a rollable consistency.
